The award is presented annually to a NETC faculty member chosen by their peers for providing exceptional advisement services. Three Northeastern Technical College employees were recently named local winners of the South Carolina Technical Education Association (SCTEA) Educator of the Year Awards. Jackie Gaskins, of Chesterfield, was nominated for Teacher of the Year for her outstanding performance as a mathematics instructor. Heath Milligan, of Clio, was nominated for Administrator of the Year for his dedication and commitment to the management of the College as dean of instruction. Debbie Cheek, vice president of business and finance at Northeastern Technical College, recently received certification from the Government Finance Officers Association of South Carolina. She has been approved as a certified government finance officer.
