Program Summary:
The General Technology program prepares students for employment and advancement in industrial occupations.

The Associate in Applied Science in General Technology (AAS.GEN) degree is the pathway for becoming a multi-crafted technician with skills needed to maintain all aspects of the industrial process. Students select from the following majors to specialize their area of study to meet their career goals:
• Computer Technology (AAS.GEN.CPT)
• Electro-Mechanical (AAS.GEN.EOM)
• Engineering Graphics (AAS.GEN.EGT)
• Industrial Electronics (AAS.GEN.EEM)
• Industrial Maintenance (AAS.GEN.IMT)
• Welding (AAS.GEN.WLD)

Program Length:
The Associate in Applied Science in General Technology degree program requires 73 to 80 semester credit hours of instruction. Full-time students can complete the program in four semesters, and evening students, depending on the course enrollment of the student, can complete their studies in five to six semesters. By enrolling in the Associate in Applied Science in General Technology program, students can be ready to go to work in two years at a fraction of the cost of attending a four-year institution. With day, evening, online and weekend classes, students can obtain an education while meeting family needs or working a job. NETC has four community campuses conveniently located in Pageland, Cheraw, Bennettsville and Dillon.
