Program Summary:
The Associate in Applied Science in General Technology – Criminal Justice (AAS.GEN.CRJ) degree is the appropriate pathway for students seeking careers in homeland security, border protection, fraud investigation, public and private security, law enforcement or corrections. The Criminal Justice degree program is also the pathway for individuals already in law enforcement who would like to advance their career or advance their knowledge of crime, security, investigation, community safety, law enforcement, and/or technology.
The Criminal Justice degree program is also the appropriate pathway for students working toward a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Criminology.
The program offers a foundation in criminal law, police administration, criminology, communications and writing skills. The program focuses on real-world application of criminological principles. Courses are taught by current and former law enforcement personnel, so students enrolled in the program will be able to gain valuable insight into the working world of law enforcement. The program provides graduates with knowledge and skills in:

Program Length:
The Associate in Applied Science in General Technology – Criminal Justice program requires 73 semester credit hours of instruction. Full-time students can complete the program in a minimum of seven semesters. Placement test scores and full-time status will determine actual length of program completion.
