Northeastern Technical College alumni and current students, you have a unique opportunity to apply for the NETC Entrepreneurship Development Fund (EDF), which could put $10,000 in your pocket if you have a business idea or an invention that could put you on the map. As a recipient of the EDF grant, not only do you receive money (that does not have to be repaid), but you also will receive personalized attention from a board of experts who want to see you succeed and achieve your dreams!

Established by Continuum Performance Systems, Inc., to foster job growth in the state of South Carolina by focusing on entrepreneurship development in Chesterfield, Marlboro and Dillon counties.
Grants up to $10,000 will be awarded to a current NETC student or NETC alumnus undertaking a student initiated enterprise, new small business, high technology start-up or a corporate expansion which will create a minimum of two jobs during Year One, with continued employment opportunities in Years Two and Three.
Fund support will be awarded through a competitive grant application process facilitated by the NETC Entrepreneurship Development Fund Board comprised of local business leaders.
Grantees will have the opportunity to utilize the Board's expertise to help propel innovation and move ventures closer to market or to expand a current business.
Any current NETC student or NETC alumnus undertaking an initiated enterprise, a new small business, a high technology start-up, or a corporate expansion in the NETC service region including Chesterfield, Marlboro or Dillon counties which will create a minimum of two jobs during Year One, with continued employment opportunities in Years Two and Three.
Interested parties must submit a completed application and executive summary and be prepared to answer possible follow-up questions upon Board review.
Grantees are eligible for only one award.
Application and a two-page executive summary submitted (See sample Executive Summary) by the deadline will be reviewed by the Entrepreneurship Development Fund Board and finalists will be selected.
Finalists will present their ideas and a business plan before Entrepreneurship Development Fund Board members.
Applicants who are awarded a grant will be notified in writing by the Entrepreneurship Development Fund Board. Grant awards will be made by the NETC Foundation directly to the grantee.
