After 23 of industry work, Michael Black returned to his alma mater NETC to teach electronics. As an instructor, he strives to give each student one-on-one time, and he encourages all of his students to feel comfortable asking questions and presenting new ideas. One of his greatest joys about teaching is seeing his students succeed in the workplace after they graduate the electronics technology program.
Mr. Black earned an Associate Degree of Industrial Technology in industrial electronics technology from NETC. He has been the full-time instructor of the program since 2007. Outside of the classroom, he enjoys hunting and fishing.
Students in Mr. Black's class will gain a valuable skill set that will prepare them for high wage industrial jobs. Students will be able construct wiring systems to meet National Electrical Code and have a working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Students will also be able to wire various electrical devices and learn to work successfully in teams.
