Randal Watson has been a Machine Tool Technology instructor at NETC since 2003. He is a graduate of the Machine Tool Technology program at NETC, and also attended the Community College of the Air Force, where he earned a certificate in aircraft structural maintenance. He enjoys teaching students skills that will allow them to build successful careers and always makes himself available to help them with class work and projects in the machine shop.
Mr. Watson graduated from Chesterfield High School and earned a certificate from the Community College of the Air Force and an associate degree from NETC. He spent 10 years doing maintenance work on manual and computer numerical control (CNC) machines before becoming an instructor at NETC. He is very involved with his church and enjoys sports, family activities and many outdoor activities such as hunting and boating.
In Mr. Watson’s class, students gain valuable skills that manufacturers and industrial leaders are looking for in their employees. They learn how to build machine parts to blueprint specifications using lathes, milling machines, surface grinders and other standard machine shop tools.
