Chesterfield General Hospital (CGH) Nursing Scholarship
Through it's parent company, Community Health Systems, CGH is offering a scholarship to students who are attending college to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN - 1 year) or Registered Nurse (RN - 2 years). Scholarship funds will be awarded up to $5000 per student per year and may be used for tuition and books. Scholarships awarded may be full or partial depending on tuition cost. LPN to RN scholarships (1 year)are also available.
In return for scholarship monies, upon graduation from a nursing program, the recipient is required to work for the company as described below:
▪ Must reside in hospital's geographic area
▪ Must achieve a cumulative high school or college GPA of 3.0 or better
▪ Must sign a Scholarship Loan Agreement
▪ Must demonstrate financial need
▪ Must maintain GPA of 2.5 or better in nursing school
▪ Must work full-time in nursing at the awarding hospital for two (2) years for each year of funding. If the recipient relocates, the agreement may extend to another CHS hospital.
