National Federation of the Blind
Each July at their national conference, the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) gives a broad array of scholarships to recognize achievement by blind scholars. Scholarships from $3,000 to $12,000 are awarded are based on the following criteria:
- Must be legally blind
- Must be pursing or planning to pursue a full-time, post secondary course of study in a degree program at a United States institution in the 2008 scholastic year.
- One scholarship may be given to a person employed full-time while attending school part-time
- If chose, recipient must participate in the entire NFB convention and in all scheduled scholarship program activities. Each scholarship winner will be brought to the national convention at NFB expense
