The Strom Thurmond Foundation Scholarship Program
Strom Thurmond, Inc.
The Strom Thurmond Foundation was established in 1974 by Senator Thurmond with honoraria received from speeches, donations from friends and family, and from other acts of generosity. It serves as a permanent testimony to his memory, and to his concern for the education of able students who have demonstrated financial need. The Foundation annually awards financial aid.
Basic Eligibility:
- South Carolina residents who demonstrate financial need based upon family income and the number of family members.
- South Carolina residents who are enrolled or who plan to enroll in colleges or universities located in South Carolina
Application Deadline:
- Applications should be submitted by December 1 of the year prior to the year of anticipated college attendance.
