Transfer Students
Any student who wish to transfer to NETC should make sure they add NETC’s school code (007602) to their FAFSA form. This can be done by following the steps outlined below:
▪ Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov
▪ Click on “Make Corrections to Processed FAFSA”
▪ In the school section, add the code -007602
▪ Click to submit my FAFSA now
If you filed your FAFSA by paper/mail, and you received a Student Aid Report, locate the DRN number in the bottom left hand corner of the first page. Call 1-800-4FEDAID or1-800-433-3243 and have them add our school code to your FAFSA.
The Office of Student Financial Assistance at NETC cannot accept your award letter from another institution. Certain types of financial aid awarded may not transfer to another institution. FAFSA-on-the-Web confirmations/printouts are not acceptable.
Northeastern Technical College Students Attending Another Institution
Any NETC student wanting to take classes at another college must complete a Transient/Consortium Agreement. This form is available upon request from NETC’s Office of Student Financial Assistance. The course(s) you wish to take must be approved by your advisor as acceptable in your active major/program of study at NETC. The form must be signed by the registrar and business manager at the host college stating they will notify us if you make any changes to your class schedule and of any applicable refunds for changes to your schedule. Finally, the Financial Aid Office at the host college must complete a section regarding your cost of attendance.
The student should submit a completed form to NETC’s Office of Student Financial Assistance. It should be noted that a student cannot receive financial aid from two institutions during the same semester.
Transient Students Attending Northeastern Technical College:
Transient students attending Northeastern Technical College must contact their home institution (college that will issue your degree, diploma or certificate) so they can determine their eligibility for financial assistance. NETC only awards aid to people enrolled as a regular student in an eligible program.
Students should check with their home institution to make sure payment will be made to NETC. Also, contact the Cashier’s Office at NETC to make sure they have the necessary paperwork from your home institution to cover their fees. If the needed paperwork is not on file, NETC may required that the student pay his/her fees before attending classes.
