A Cut Above: NETC’s Stained Glass Class Sparks Creativity

Northeastern Technical College's Continuing Education department recently hosted a hands-on stained glass class, giving students the chance to explore this beautiful art form. Led by local stained glass artist Colleen Hendricks, the introductory class taught participants the basics of cutting, shaping, and assembling glass pieces to create a unique design.

Under Colleen's guidance, students were able to chose between one of two suncatcher designs and bring it to life one glass shard at a time. Participants each walked away with a unique piece of handmade art (and maybe a newfound passion for stained glass).
