Become a certified welder with new NETC program

Northeastern Technical College's Division of Continuing Education is now taking applications for students interested in entering their evening welding program, which begins in November.

The program prepares students for AWS certification in five areas of welding certification, including basic and advanced ARC, basic and advanced TIG, and basic MIG.

This Continuing Education welding program is offered as non-college credit and runs for a shorter period of time than the associate degree program in welding that NETC also offers.

Scholarship funding is available for eligible applicants who meet all prerequisites for enrollment. This funding helps to pay for new job skill courses, and other workforce development grants to assist in making our community work ready. All students are required to pay a $35.00 fee for a drug screening and background check as part of their enrollment requirements. Please visit any of our campuses to complete the scholarship application and background screening form.

Classes are limited in size and enrollment is on a first pay, first serve basis. Tuition payment, if not covered by scholarship, is due one week before the start day of class.

You may also visit the Continuing Education Department in Hampton Hall on NETC's main campus in Cheraw from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday or 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday or by visiting one of our community campuses located in Bennettsville, Pageland or Dillon.
