Northeastern Technical College (NETC) is hosting its Annual College Transfer Fair. Students interested in transferring to a four-year college or university will have the opportunity to learn more about options at the event scheduled October 2nd.
The fair, sponsored by TRiO, a division of NETC Student Support Services, will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Student Success Center.
Representatives from 16 Universities, including the Charleston Southern, Citadel, Claflin, Morris College, Coastal Carolina, Coker, Columbia, Converse, Francis Marion, Gardner-Webb, Lander, South Carolina State, USC Lancaster, USC Palmetto, USC Upstate, and Webster University are scheduled to be on campus to speak to students about their programs, campus life, and admissions policies pertaining to transfer students.
Current NETC students, including high school students enrolled in the dual enrollment and dual credit programs, are encouraged to attend.
There is value in taking college transfer classes at NETC. The classes are smaller, and the tuition is significantly lower allowing students to receive an affordable quality education. Many colleges and universities in the state accept college credit courses offered by NETC.
NETC offers two associate degrees for transfer. The Associate in Arts (AA) degree for students interested in English, history, sociology, psychology, business, or education. The Associate in Science (AS) degree is availbable for students interested in engineering, mathematics or science-related majors, including all medical fields and pharmacy.
