NETC Celebrates 94 Graduates at Summer Commencement Ceremony in Dillon

Northeastern Technical College celebrated the accomplishments of 94 Summer 2026 graduates during a commencement ceremony held Thursday, August 6, at the Dillon County School District 4 Auditorium.

Surrounded by family, friends, faculty and staff, graduates crossed the stage to mark the completion of an important chapter and the beginning of new opportunities in their careers, continued education and communities.

Paul "Mike" Burch Jr., South Carolina's 4th Judicial Circuit Solicitor, delivered the keynote address. Burch's participation held special meaning for NETC, as he began his own college journey as a dual enrollment student at the college while attending Central High School in Pageland.

During his address, Burch encouraged graduates to carry what he calls "The Big 4" into their careers and everyday lives. He challenged graduates to apply the Big 4 to their careers by mastering their craft, performing their core duties well and taking pride in their responsibilities. He encouraged them to treat others with respect, empathy and kindness; give their best effort in whatever they pursue; and approach their work and lives with an "all-in attitude" built on positivity and commitment.

His message offered graduates a practical approach to leadership and success, reminding them that leadership is demonstrated not only through a title or position, but through the way people approach their responsibilities and treat those around them.

The Summer 2026 Commencement celebrated not only the degrees and credentials earned by NETC's 94 graduates, but also the determination, hard work and support from families, instructors and others that helped them reach this milestone.
