Dr. Tim Hardee, President of the South Carolina Technical College System, recently presented the system's budget request to the House Ways and Means Higher Education Subcommittee, outlining priorities that support workforce development and student success across the state.
Following the subcommittee meeting, Northeastern Technical College Interim President Erin Fann met with Representative Richie Yow, who represents House District 53. The discussion focused on ongoing projects at NETC, as well as current and future needs that directly impact students, programs, and the surrounding communities.
The meeting provided an opportunity for NETC leadership to advocate for continued investment in technical education and to strengthen collaboration with state lawmakers. These conversations play a key role in ensuring that NETC remains responsive to workforce demands while expanding opportunities for students throughout the region.
