
Three Northeastern Technical College employees were recently named as local winners of the South Carolina Technical Education Association (SCTEA) Educator of the Year Award.
Mamie Harris of Lake City, was selected for Administrator of the Year for her dedication and commitment to the management of the college as Vice President of Student Services.
Jennifer Guinn of McColl, was voted Staff Person of the Year for her exceptional service and dedication as a member of the human resources team.
Richard "Dwaine" Bailey of Cheraw, has been named at NETC's Faculty Member of the Year for his outstanding performance as a Biology instructor.
Each year, faculty and staff at each of South Carolina's technical colleges vote for local winners, based on performance criteria established by the SCTEA. This year, faculty and staff at NETC selected Harris, Guinn, and Bailey. All three will represent the college at the annual SCTEA Conference and awards banquet February 2025 in Myrtle Beach.
