NETC welcomes students with a week of activities

Northeastern Technical College will kick off the Fall 2026 semester by welcoming new and returning students with a week of fun, interactive events designed to help students feel connected, informed, and ready for success.

NETC's Welcome Week will take place August 17–20 at all campuses to celebrate the beginning of a new semester and introduce students to the faculty, staff, programs, and resources available to support them throughout their educational journey.

Throughout the week, students will have opportunities to meet fellow classmates, interact with faculty and staff, participate in games and activities, learn about student organizations, and discover the support services available to help them reach their academic and personal goals.

Welcome Week Schedule

Monday, August 17 – Matters @ NETC

Students attending events will receive Welcome Week "swag" and participate in fun "Getting to Know You" activities with faculty and staff. The goal is that through interactive games and conversations we can reinforce that every student matters at NETC.

Tuesday, August 18 – Tech Tee Tuesday

Students are invited to enjoy tea, donuts, and cookies while learning about student engagement opportunities, athletics, clubs, and Student Government.

Wednesday, August 19 – Where Will Your Compass Take You?

Students can participate in an interactive campus scavenger hunt designed to build confidence using essential college technology. Navigating D2L, Self-Service, and NETC email, students can compete in challenges for a chance to win prizes.

Thursday, August 20 – The Melts Down!

Welcome Week will conclude with a campus celebration featuring food, music, games, and fellowship. This wrap up event will give students one final opportunity to connect with the NETC community before the fall semester gets started.

Welcome Week reflects Northeastern Technical College's commitment to student success by helping students build meaningful relationships, become familiar with campus resources, and start the semester with confidence.
