The Northeastern Technical College golf team wrapped up their fall season by competing in the 2025 Atomic City Classic, held October 19-21. The tournament featured thirteen other colleges and universities.
Landon Hardy led the Trailblazers with rounds of 87 and 81. Sophomore Evan Cox followed closely with scores of 83 and 87. Freshman Rodney Atkinson started with a 90 but finished strong with an 83 in the final round. Cody Watkins posted rounds of 103 and 101. Round one proved challenging with strong winds and an hour-long fog delay.
The team faced the par 72, nearly 7,000-yard championship course at Oak Ridge Country Club, home to PGA Tour winner Scott Stallings and LPGA Tour player Sophia Shubert.
Although the Trailblazers will not compete again until February 2025, they will continue practicing all phases of the game until November 6, the official end of the NJCAA fall season.
