LPN Mandatory Information Session at NETC on June 21
A mandatory information session for anyone wishing to begin the next Practical Nursing class, beginning in January 2008, at Northeastern Technical College will be held on June 21.
Two sessions will be available but attendance at one will be required in order for students to complete the application process. Attendance tickets will be issued and must be attached to admission applications.
A morning session will be held at 9 am and an evening session will be held at 6 pm in room 212 on NETC’s campus in Cheraw. Visit the Practical Nursing Important Dates and Deadlines page for more information.
The Practical Nursing program at NETC is a one-year diploma program designed to provide the academic and clinical skills necessary for students to successfully complete the National Council for Licensure (NCLEX-PN) required by the South Carolina Board of Nursing for licensure.
As an LPN, graduates will be qualified to work in facilities such as hospitals, doctor’s offices and nursing homes throughout South Carolina and the United States. Many LPNs also choose to continue their education and training to become a registered nurse (RN).
Information recently released by the South Carolina Employment Security Commission listed nursing as one of the hottest career in the Pee Dee region based on promising growth outlooks.
