NETC Instructor Receives Recognition
Each year, Northeastern Technical College names an individual, business or organization that has made unique and valuable contributions to NETC as its “Outstanding Contributor to Technical Education.”
This year’s “Outstanding Contributor to Technical Education” award was presented to Ann Davis (middle), a faculty member in the college’s Division of Arts and Sciences. Davis, of Cheraw, received the recognition for her teaching excellence and the special attention she pays to the learning needs of her students.
Dr. Jimmie Williamson (left), president of Northeastern Technical College, and Dr. Jerry Robertson (right), vice president for student services, presented the award to Davis in front of other college administrators, staff, faculty and students, who gave her a standing ovation and lined up to congratulate her after the ceremony.
The “Outstanding Contributor to Technical Education” award has been awarded since 1982 and past recipients have included First Citizen’s bank, INA USA Corporation, Chesterfield General Hospital and other distinguished NETC staff and faculty.
