NETC Associate Degree in Nursing Approved:  Students Will Begin Course Work in Fall

Northeastern Technical College has received final approval to begin accepting applications for admissions to the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program at the college this fall semester.

On May 3, college administrators completed the approval process culminating with final approval from the South Carolina State Board of Nursing and the Commission on Higher Education.

“We are now ready to begin accepting student applications for admissions to NETC’s nursing program,” said Sandra Barbour, vice president for instruction at NETC.  “Due to the demand in Cheraw, Marlboro and Dillon counties for registered nurses, the admission process will be very competitive so we encourage all interested students to strictly follow admission procedures.”

To get started, applicants should be on time for one of two mandatory information sessions that will be held on Tuesday, May 29 in the auditorium on the college’s campus in Cheraw.  Sessions will be offered at 9am and 6pm in the NETC Auditorium (Willamette Hall - Building 200) and parking is available outside of Willamette Hall on Tec Road.

“Attending one of these mandatory sessions is the first requirement,” she said. “Anyone who does not attend one of the information sessions will automatically be ineligible for admissions.”

Both sessions will be held in the NETC Auditorium and information on application deadlines, tuition cost, fees, acceptance timelines and programming will be discussed.

“This is a great opportunity for those who want to make a difference in people’s lives and are interested in a stable career opportunity,” said Barbour. “But they have to first attend one of the information sessions on May 29 in order to start this pathway to a future.”

IMPORTANT:
You must attend one of the information sessions on

Both sessions
(9:00am or 6:00pm)
