Backyard Barbeque Class at NETC on January 19
Tim Pattan, an award-winning pitmaster and creator of the nationally distributed Pee Dee River Swamp Sauce, will teach a class on the art of backyard barbequing on January 19 on the campus of Northeastern Technical College in Cheraw.
The class will focus on chicken, ribs, beef brisket and pork. It will also cover rubs and difference sauces for each meat.
“Whether you have a fancy cooker or just your oven, I’ll show you how to cook a meal that will be the envy of all your neighbors,” said Pattan who has successfully lead his grilling team to three championships and several top five and ten finishes in national competitions.
The class will be geared toward average back-yard barbequers who want to refine, or to learn simple techniques to create mouth-watering food that will be the highlight of any gathering of family or friends.
“It’s so simple it will blow your mind,” said Pattan.
The cost of the class is $25 per person or $40 per couple and includes lunch.
