NETC Student Receives Kappa Alpha Psi Scholarship

Northeastern Technical College student Quentin Jovon McCall (right), of Bennettsville, received a $300 scholarship from the Cheraw Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.  Presenting the check is Leron Peterkin (left) an alumni member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity who is also an employee of Northeastern Technical College.

McCall is a 2005 graduate of Marlboro County High School.  He obtained an associate degree in industrial electronics in 2007.  He is currently taking classes to transfer to the University of North Carolina-Charlotte where he plans to pursue a bachelor of science in electrical technology. 

McCall is the son of Mary G. McCall, also of Bennettsville, S.C.  In addition to his studies at the college, he is a peer tutor with Student Support Services. 

“Quentin is truly a remarkable student who wants to learn and serve,” said Peterkin.
