NETC Celebrates Black History month

In honor of Black History Month, students, faculty and staff at Northeastern Technical College have made special arrangements to celebrate.

On February 20, 2008 the student services and student support services divisions along with the student government association, will sponsor a program in observance of black history.  The program begins at 10:00 am in the NETC Auditorium and will last approximately one hour.  The program will feature speaker retired pastor Dr. Harry Wright of the Cornerstone Baptist Church of Brooklyn, New York and the Marlboro County High School Gospel Choir.  The public is invited to attend.

Library staff and student workers have also prepared a collection of materials in honor of Black History Month.  The collection includes autobiographies, biographies, magazines, children books, videos, DVDs and compact discs produced by, or featuring, black leaders in American society.  The library will also host a drop in from 11am to 1pm on February 18 for all current students, faculty and staff.
