NETC Announces Educators of the Year

Three members of Northeastern Technical College’s faculty and staff were recently named local winners of the South Carolina Technical Education Association (SCTEA) Educator of the Year Awards.

Peggy Ingram, of Cheraw, was nominated for Staff Person of the Year for her dedication and commitment to the management of the college as a Senior Accountant.

Lisa Johnson, of Mt. Croghan, was nominated for Teacher of the Year for her outstanding performance as a faculty member in the business and technologies division of the college.

And Reese Bostic, of McColl, was nominated for Manager of the Year for his exceptional management skills as Coordinator of Student Support Services.

The award winners were recognized at the annual SCTEA conference in February and will be designated as the local nominees for the association’s statewide awards.

Each year, faculty and staff at each of South Carolina’s technical colleges nominate local winners, and local selection committees evaluate the individuals against performance criteria established by the SCTEA.  This year, faculty and staff at Northeastern Technical College chose Ingram, Johnson and Bostic to represent the college.
