NETC Recognizes Founders for Making a Difference

Northeastern Technical College recently honored Founders Federal Credit Union for their continued support of the college during the biannual Benefactors Make a Difference event held in Columbia and sponsored by the South Carolina Technical College System (SCTCS).

Each of the 16 colleges in the SCTCS chose a benefactor from its local area to honor in recognition of their donation of funds or property to the college.

Northeastern Technical College honored Founders for its $50,000 gift in support of the college’s nursing program.  The gift will be used to support the instructional needs of the college as it continues to expand its Certified Nursing Assistant, Practical Nursing and recently approved Associate Degree in Nursing programs.

Receiving the honor on behalf of Founders was Bruce Brumfield (second from right), president and CEO of Founders.  Dr. Barry Russell (far left), president of the SCTCS, Dr. Jimmie Williamson (second from left), president of Northeastern Technical College and Nick Odum, chair of the State Board for Technical and Comprehensive Education presented the award.
