Gunsmithing II Offered at NETC

Northeastern Technical College’s division of Continuing Education will offer a Gunsmithing II class beginning on June 16.  The course will meet once a week for 12 weeks on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 – 9:30 pm in room 706 on the college’s campus in Cheraw.

This class is a continuation of Gunsmithing I, offered during the spring semester, and is intended for anyone interested in how guns work, how guns are assembled, how guns are cleaned, or for anyone who owns a gun or has a gun in their home.

Students in Gunsmithing II will receive an introduction to building a 1911 automatic including building the lower receiver and upper slide barrel.

Concealed weapon permit holders can also use this course for their continuing education requirements.  Henry Griggs will be the instructor for this course and has 17 years of experience at Southland Gunshop in Darlington.  He has also been trained through the North American School of Firearms.

Students will be required to purchase a gun kit.  Details will be discussed on the first night of class.
