Customer Service, Brick Mason and Electrician Training Added to Summer Continuing Education Offerings
Three new courses have been added to the Northeastern Technical College (NETC) Division of Continuing Education’s summer offerings. Brick masonry, electrician and call center customer service training courses are now available and are each designed for anyone looking for skills training to enhance their employability or to pursue a new career.
Brick masonry will be offered as a three-part course starting with a beginning brick mason training class on June 22. Class will meet on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 – 9:30 pm for six weeks on the campus of NETC in Cheraw. The cost is $450 and students will be required to bring their own trowel, level, hoe and shovel. An intermediate brick mason training course will start on August 10 and an advanced brick mason training course will start on October 5. The advanced courses are also $450 and will be held on the college’s campus in Cheraw.
A new customer service course designed to prepare individuals for employment in a call center is now available. Classes will meet Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm for five weeks on the college’s campuses in Cheraw or Dillon. The cost is $995 per person.
During the course, students will receive skills instruction in areas including computer proficiency, business etiquette, customer service, time management and team work for entry level careers in customer service call centers.
A course designed to prepare students for the residential wiring certification exam as well as plant maintenance is also now available. Class meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 – 10:00 pm on the campus of NETC Cheraw. Cost per participant is $1495 plus textbooks and certification exam.
Students will receive skills instruction for entry level careers in residential, commercial and industrial electrical application. The course is also designed to prepare students to take the residential writing certification exam.
