Applying Early at NETC Has Its Advantages
New or returning students planning to attend Northeastern Technical College this fall should apply by June 30 to receive the benefits of early registration.
Applying early qualifies new students for an invitation to the Student Orientation Accelerated Registration (SOAR) program, offers students the first selection of high demand classes, and access to a larger inventory of used books in the bookstore.
To apply, students must complete and submit their NETC admission and financial aid applications. NETC applications can be completed online by visiting the Admissions page. Applications are also available to download on the Admission page or by visiting one of NETC’s campuses in Pageland, Cheraw, Bennettsville or Dillon.
Financial aid applications are available by visiting www.fafsa.ed.gov. More information about financial aid is available by visiting the Office of Student Financial Assistance page or by calling the Office of Student Financial Assistance at 843-921-6991.
All new students that complete the admission and financial aid process by June 30 will be invited to attend SOAR, a program designed by NETC Student Services to help students become familiar with NETC and to navigate the registration process.
Students can choose to attend one of two SOAR sessions being held on Monday, July 20 from 9:00 – 11:00am or 6:00 to 8:00 pm on the college’s campus in Cheraw.
During the SOAR sessions, students will learn about the class registration processes, take a tour of the campus, receive information about advisor assignments, and will also have the opportunity to meet with Student Services staff to ask questions and become familiar with available campus resources.
Fall semester classes start on August 17. For more information about NETC or early registration call NETC’s Admissions Office at 921-6933, or 1-800-921-7399.
