NETC Offers Grant Writing Workshop

Northeastern Technical College’s division of continuing education will offer a grant writing workshop for beginners on February 26, 2010 from 9am to 4pm on the college’s campus in Cheraw.

This day long workshop is for anyone new to the professional world of grant writing.  Participants will learn the basic methods of how to write a winning proposal including the essential components, how to define a community opportunity, how to match a proposal to the grant maker’s interest, the ABC’s of developing goals and objectives, where to find foundation, federal, state, and corporate grant giving opportunities, and much more.   

The workshop will be taught by Lori Phillips, a Pee Dee native with more than ten years of experience in writing, reviewing and administering grant proposals.  Ms. Phillips has her Grant-Writing Specialist Certification and Grants Administration Certification.
