New Summer Class Schedule at NETC Offers Benefits

Oncampus summer day classes at Northeastern Technical College will now be scheduled two days a week.  Previously, summer term classes were scheduled four days a week.  Now, classes are scheduled on two days either on Mondays and Wednesdays, or Tuesdays and Thursdays. Oncampus evening classes will continue to meet one night a week and online classes will operate as normal.

This new schedule for oncampus summer day classes will provide more flexibility for students who juggle family, work and busy life schedules.  It will also allow students more flexibility to carry a full course load which will satisfy some financial aid guidelines.

“This is a change we are implementing based on student feedback,” said Heath Milligan, dean of instruction at Northeastern Technical College.  “During advising many of our students expressed a desire to take more courses during the summer but were unable to be oncampus four days a week.   This new  schedule now offers those students the possibility to take three courses, and even an online course, and still only be required to be oncampus two days a week while maintaining a full time status.”

A complete list of day, evening and online course offerings is available at each of the college campuses in Pageland, Cheraw, Bennettsville and Dillon or, by clicking Course Schedule – Summer 2010.
