Social Media Class Offered at NETC
Northeastern Technical College’s division of continuing education will offer two separate introduction classes to social media on June 7 and June 21. Each class is two days and cost $30.
The June 7 class will be offered to senior citizens and will meet on June 7 and 14 from 2 – 4pm on the college’s campus in Cheraw. The registration deadline is June 1. The June 21 class will be offered to the general public and will meet on June 21 and June 28 from 6-10pm. The registration deadline for this class is June 15.
This class offers participants an introduction to social networking with a particular focus on interaction and communication via Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Individuals will learn skills ranging from establishing accounts to interacting with others using multiple forms of social media. The course is designed especially for beginners and amateurs who want to enter the work of social media.
NETC instructor Mike Jefferies will teach this class. He has used social media since 2006 for personal networking and classroom instruction and currently manages the college’s Facebook presence.
