CNA Survival Day Camp Offered on October 30
Northeastern Technical College’s division of continuing education, in partnership with the Pee Dee Area Healthcare Education Center, is offering a four hour survival day camp for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA). A morning and afternoon session is available on Friday, October 30 at McLeod Family Medicine Center in Florence.
The program is designed to equip the CNA with the knowledge and assessment "Survival" skills to "pick up" on the sometimes subtle cues to potential status changes that can be present in the patient during routine delivery of daily care.
Care measures and the CNA's role in communicating changes in patient status will be discussed as well as the modes and prevention of the transmission of commonly encountered environmental organisms in the work environment.
The course will be available in both morning and afternoon sessions for ease of attendance. Three AHEC clock hours will be available for participants completing 90% of the course. The cost for either session is $40.
For more information, or to register for one of the sessions, call NETC’s division of continuing education at 843-921-6925 or 843-921-6924.
