First Bank Makes Contribution to NETC Foundation

John Long (left), executive vice president of First Bank, recently presented Dr. Ron Bartley (right), president of Northeastern Technical College, a contribution from the First Bank Foundation to the Northeastern Technical College Foundation to support the general scholarship fund. 

“First Bank was a significant supporter of the college as we were developing our Association Degree in Nursing program (ADN) and we are honored the bank has continued to show their support,” said Bartley.  “As our enrollment continues to grow, support and partnerships with organizations like First Bank will help us to continue providing opportunities for citizens in our service area to pursue pathways to a college degree or new jobs skills for a new career.”

Northeastern Technical College serves Chesterfield, Marlboro and Dillon counties with campus in Pageland, Cheraw, Bennettsville and Dillon and is experiencing record enrollment this semester.  First Bank, a bank holding company headquartered in Troy, N.C., is a multiyear supporter of the Northeastern Technical College Foundation and played a role in the College’s efforts to establish its ADN program.
