NETC's Continuing Education Division offers pathways to job skills for new careers, advancement in the workplace, as well as personal and cultural enrichment. Let us know how we can help you achieve success!


Continuing Education Classes Available:

EMT Basics
Will be focusing on equipping students with the essential skills and knowledge to provide immediate medical care in the moment of emergencies. Students will be learning various techniques such as CPR, AED use, and other functions to help in emergency situations.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Will be focusing on practical data-driven skills to lead process improvement projects, reduce waste, and enhance customer satisfaction in any industry.

CDL Training
Will be covering pre-trip inspections, safe backing and trailer configuration, demonstration and maneuver of truck, logbooks, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills all to provide the necessary training to be able to obtain a CDL

Forklift Training
Will be focusing on providing the necessary training that involves safety procedures and hands on techniques that will provide participants with the ability to gain employment in warehousing logistics, and other opportunities where the use of forklifts are required.

Intro. To Technology
Will be providing basic technology skills to individuals with little or no experience using computers. Class will be covering basics such as hardware components and their functions, keyboarding skills, creating and organizing files and folders, internet browsing, and creating email accounts.

OSHA 10
This class is geared toward foundational safety and health knowledge, helping to identify hazards and prevent accidents from occurring. This class also helps with understanding worker rights and employer responsibilities in general industry fields.

Project Management
Will be covering various techniques, controls, risks, and conflict management skills to enhance planning and organizational skills. These skills can be used for managing academic, professional, and personal projects. Individuals stand to gain valuable workplace skills like communication, problem-solving, leadership, and risk management skills.

Leadership & Communication
This class offers skills in ethical decision making, critical thinking, and strategic communication to lead effectively in various contexts, including personal, academic, and professional settings.

Workforce Development

NETC's Continuing Education Division provides special services to help meet the educational and training needs of business and industry in Chesterfield, Marlboro, and Dillon counties. This includes workshops, lectures, and special training projects. The division also offers coordinating and planning services for business, industry, and agencies in the service area for utilization of our auditorium and classroom spaces. We are also in the process of creating Industrial training centers in Bennettsville and Pageland so that we can better serve the communities where we live and work! Let us assist you!

>How to Enroll

Requirements for admission to the courses offered by NETC's Continuing Education Division depend on the nature of the course involved. Generally, the student enrolls in the selected course by completing a registration form and paying course fees. Policies & Fees
Continuing Education

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a program for individuals who are receiving food stamps and seeking employment.  Services offered include:

  • Job search training - Teaches you the best way to search for a job. Helps you develop the tools you need to be successful (resume, interview skills, career testing, etc.) 
  • Job search - Helps you look in the right places, provides you with connections to help you get a job. 
  • Education - Prepares you for the job market by making sure you have the proper education, reading and writing skills, etc. 
  • Vocational training - Upgrades your skills to fit the labor market so you have what employers are looking for. 
  • Job retention services - Teaches you the "do's and don'ts" of employment so you can keep the job you get.
Who is required to participate in the SNAP E&T Program?
  • You are required to register for work
  • You are age 18 or older but under age 50
  • You have no dependents

Who is not required to participate in the SNAP E&T Program?  If you meet any one of the following conditions, you may not have to take part in the SNAP E&T Program but you can volunteer to participate by signing a voluntary participation agreement:

  • You are under age 18 or are age 50 or older
  • You are a student, enrolled at least half-time
  • You are receiving unemployment insurance payments
  • You are responsible for the care of an incapacitated person
  • You are pregnant or physically or mentally unable to work
  • You have a dependent child under age 18
  • You are employed and working at least 20 hours per week

Contact your caseworker to obtain a print out of your Profile History and contact our coordinator to fill out a few simple forms so that we can get you verified and on your way to a new Pathway!!
