The Student Government Association (SGA) is a great way for students to get involved with their college, create lasting friendships and gain valuable leadership skills. SGA is a student-run governing body that coordinates and directs all activities of student life at NETC. SGA conducts fundraisers and student socials and assists with field day events, career fairs and other campus-wide activities. SGA members meet weekly to plan activities and discuss upcoming events. Each year, SGA elects members to serve as president, vice president, secretary and treasurer.
The Phi Theta Kappa and Phi Beta Lambda honor societies recognize the academic achievement of students and provides opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service and fellowship programming. Membership into these societies is a special honor afforded to a small group of outstanding students.
The National Technical Honor Society is a non-profit, honor organization for students enrolled in career and technical programs. Students are invited to showcase their talents during the Theatre Arts Department's Act-N-Out variety show held on campus. Performances include acting, dancing poetry reading, singing and other musical talents.
Note: Only clubs and organizations chartered by the Student Government Association and approved by the dean of student services and the president will be permitted to function on campus.
