Francis Krutchie M. Arquiza

About Ms. Arquiza

Francis Krutchie Arquiza has garnered many awards and honors as a math teacher both in her native country, the Philippines, and in the United States. She has been an instructor at NETC since 2012 and enjoys touching lives and making a difference - one student at a time. She has a broad range of interests and hobbies, including martial arts, indoor and outdoor practice shooting, scuba and sky diving, white water rafting, listening to classical music, watching opera and classical plays, traveling and reading.

Education & Work Experience

Ms. Arquiza graduated Cum Laude from Philippine Normal University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. She was a Department of Science & Technology Full Scholar and a recipient of the Academic of Excellence Award and Mathematics Proficiency Award. She earned a Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of the Philippines. She has taken courses at the University of South Carolina in preparation for a Doctorate in Applied and Computational Mathematics and has earned Educator's Certificates from South Carolina and Florida Departments of Education. She was a scholarship recipient for the American Association for Women in Community Colleges and has professional affiliations with the Society for Industrial & Applied Mathematics, American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges and American Association of Community Colleges. Ms. Arquiza has taught math courses at Aiken Technical College, South Carolina State University, Berkeley County School District, University of the Philippines, Ateneo De Manila University High School, St. Peter The Apostle School and Ateneo De Davao University.

Class Environment

Students in Ms. Arquiza's class will learn practical math skills as well as critical, logical and analytical thinking.  She also teaches her students that success comes from being disciplined, patient, persistent, hardworking, dedicated and determined, and showing love and compassion for others.
