Your Rights & Responsibilities

Students' Rights Regarding Financial Aid

Students have the right to know what financial aid programs the college have available to students; the criteria used by the college to select financial aid recipients; the deadlines for submitting applications; the cost of attendance for the college; how need is determined; the college's refund policy; what portion of financial aid must be repaid if the student withdraws or is dropped from all of his/her classes; what programs are eligible for funding through financial aid programs; how the school determines whether or not the student is making satisfactory progress; and what happens if the student is not making satisfactory progress and the appeals process. 

Student' Responsibilities Regarding Financial Aid

It is the student's responsibility to carefully review the award letter and the Conditions of Awards brochure; notify the Office of Student Financial Assistance of all outside aid awarded (such as scholarships); reapply annually for financial aid; meet the suggested deadline dates for applying; returning requested documents in a timely manner; and to contact the Office of Student Financial Assistance with any questions regarding financial aid.


Satisfactory Academic Progress

All recipients of financial assistance are required to meet and adhere to Northeastern Technical College's standards of satisfactory academic progress policy. Learn more.
